The Kuopio Symphony Orchestra offers significant discounts for students on ticket prices for most of the KSO concerts.

Student

Students as well young adults and youth under the age of 20 can enjoy the KSO season concerts for the price of 4 euros if the ticket is purchased on the day of the concert. More information on student ticket prices you will find in Tickets page.

Collaboration with educational establishments

The Kuopio Symphony Orchestra has collaborated with the local vocational institutes, universities of applied sciences and the University of Eastern Finland and with their Students’ unions. We welcome any thoughts and ideas on different forms of collaboration as well as seasonal or long-term collaborative projects.

For several years the KSO has participated every year in the playful “Ömeising Reis” competition (inspired by the Amazing Race) aimed at the student tutors of the University of Eastern Finland, the Savonia University of Applied Sciences and the University of Applied Sciences. In this event organised by the cultural services of the city of Kuopio the student teams compete against one another while solving and performing playful and witty tasks familiarizing them with the cultural services of the city.
