Kuopio Symphony Orchestra is the largest professional symphony orchestra in Eastern Finland.
As of the beginning of August 2025 until spring 2027 Kolja Blacher and Eugene Tzigane will act as First Conductors of the KSO. Risto Joost will assume the position of Chief Conductor of the orchestra in autumn 2027. Atso Almila will continue in the role of Second Conductor.
The Kuopio Symphony Orchestra consists of 44 musicians currently representing approximately 15 different nationalities.
