The Kuopio Symphony Orchestra’s chamber music ensembles also visit and perform at day care centers, nursery schools and schools. The purpose of these visits is to introduce the children to the world of music and the orchestral instruments as well as to give them artistic experiences. Experiencing live music in a more familiar setting such as, for example, their own classroom is an important first step before introducing children to the whole symphony orchestra as part of their visit to a KSO concert at the Kuopio Music Centre.
