INTRODUCTIONS TO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA INSTRUMENTS - PROGRAMME FOR AUTUMN HOLIDAY

Kuopio Symphony Orchestra arranges an introduction day to the instruments of a symphony orchestra at the Kuopio Music Centre on Monday 18 October between 10 am and 1 pm. The introduction sessions are open for everyone. They have been especially designed for children and youth having their autumn holiday from school.
During these introductory sessions You also have a chance try the percussion instruments yourself.
The introductions have free entrance and there is no pre-registration. Max. 40 persons / one session.

12.00 noon Introduction to String Instruments / Sky Foyer 3rd floor

12.40 pm Introduction to Wind and Brass Instruments / Hall of Light
You can start from any of the above-mentioned groups. Entrance from the Kuopio Music Centre Main Entrance (Kuopionlahdenkatu).
The introductions are organized according to the COVID-19 instructions and guidelines and the audience taking part in the Introduction Sessions will follow a guided and designated route from on session to another.
The personnel of the Music Centre and Symphony Orchestra will guide You on site. We kindly ask all who will participate the Introductions to properly wash their hand or use the hand desinfectant when entering the Music Centre. We also advice You to use a mask and make sure to have sufficient distance to other people while in the building. We recommend that you leave your contact information in a box on site in case due to the corona virus we need to contact the participants of the event afterwards.
