Dmitri Shostakovich : String Quartet No 8
In the summer of 1960, in a span of three days, Shostakovich composed a quartet inscribed “In memory of victims of fascism and war.” This very impressive piece of music has also been interpreted by some being about the compser’s own struggles.
The concert will take place in the Kuopio Museum’s new multipurpose room on the 1st floor next to the info desk and cafe.
