Vocal Ensemble Rajaton and KSO together on stage again on 5th of November

A unique programme including hits from Abba, Sting and Queen with symphonic sounds

On Friday 5th of November at 7 pm we can enjoy the sound of a vocal ensemble with a symphony orchestra, when the a cappella group Rajaton and the KSO perform together on the Kuopio Music Centre stage. The concert program has been tailored especially for Kuopio including hits from Abba, Sting and Queen among others and also the vocal ensemble’s own classics. The orchestra is conducted by Jonas Rannila.

Regularly performing around a hundred concerts and workshops each year, vocal ensemble Rajaton exposes their audiences to the kind of diversity of repertoire, singing style, and stage presentation that has made them a phenomenon on the world stage. The Finnish word Rajaton translates as boundless – a word that so accurately describes the way this six-voice a cappella ensemble approaches music.

In Kuopio Rajaton will perform with the KSO conducted by Jonas Rannila on 5th of November. The programme has been especially tailored for this concert to treat the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra’s audience. At the concert we will hear greatest hits from Abba, Sting and Queen among others, but also the vocal ensemble’s own popular classics as well as solo numbers from the ensemble’s singers and orchestral numbers. The singers of Rajaton are Essi Wuorela, Aili Ikonen, Soila Sariola, Hannu Lepola, Ahti Paunu and Jussi Chydenius.

The duration of the concert is about 1 hour 50 minutes including intermission.

Tickets: 35 / 30 / 20 €. The prices include the Kuopio Music Centre service fee 2 € / ticket. The service fees vary depending on the place of purchase.
