Safety recommendations are considered carefully

Kuopio Music Centre opened on the 10th of August for audience and the ticket office welcomes customers again. Lunch will be served at Restaurant Oodi on weekdays from 13th of August on. Kuopio Music Centre considers the current safety recommendations carefully. In the beginning of the autumn season only a limited number of seats are available for sale at the Music Centre Concert Hall so that safety distances can be assured for the audience.

Welcome to Kuopio Music Centre again! Our staff has been well informed on the safety issues and we follow new recommendations actively. Also customers can make events as safe as possible by following the familiar safety instructions.

These are the most important safety instructions at the Kuopio Music Centre:

·       Visit the centre and attend the events only if you are healthy

·       Take care of hand hygiene and coughing etiquette

·       Keep safety distances also when you queue or elsewhere in the centre

If you get sick, you can cancel the tickets to the performance organized by the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra or the Kuopio Music Centre at the latest 7 hours before the performance. In case of cancellation, please, contact the ticket office immediately: tel. 0600 96100 or email musiikkikeskus(at)kuopio.fi. The cancellation policies vary case by case depending on the event organizer.

The Kuopio Music Centre Ticket Office is open again on Mon-Fri from 12 am to 5 pm or until the beginning of the performance and on weekends 1 hour before the beginning of the performance. We recommend buying eTickets in advance: www.lippu.fi/en. If you shop at the Music Centre, we recommend using card and contactless payment. Tickets to the events held at the Kuopio Music Centre may be purchased also at the Kuopio Info (Mon from 9 am until 5 pm, Tue-Thu from 9 am until 4 pm and Fri from 9 am until 3 pm), from 2nd of September on at the Kuopio City Theatre (on performance days 2 hours prior to the performance, Fri from 12 am until 7 pm and Sat from 12 am until 6 pm), at Sokos Kuopio Department Store and other Lippupiste ticket outlets.

Kuopio Music Centre pays now special attention to hygiene. There is hand disinfection available by the entrance, at the ticket office, the cloakroom and the restaurant counters. We have increased cleaning during the events. To ensure the safety distances, we can seat max. 300 persons in the Concert Hall. Tickets can be sold on every other seat on every other row. The persons in the same family or group can move to the seats next to each other. The cloak services are free during September 2020 at least. Customers may take their coats inside the concert hall, whereas larger bags, umbrellas etc. should be left in the cloakroom.

Restaurant Oodi is open for lunch on weekdays from 11 am to 2 pm. The café is open also before the performances without an intermission. In order to prevent queuing at the Restaurant, we recommend booking the refreshments in advance: www.kanresta.fi/valiaikatarjoilut.

There are again many kinds of events and experiences available at Kuopio Music Centre during the autumn season. You can find up-to-date event information on our website www.kuopionmusiikkikeskus.fi.

The Kuopio Symphony Orchestra’s autumn 2020 season programme will be published during August. KSO Season Tickets for autumn 2020 will not be sold.
