The KSO Autumn Season 2021 is full of brilliant music and big emotions. After the spring season we are welcoming live audiences again to the Kuopio Music Centre Concert Hall. The versatile program includes classics of symphonic music, rarities and surprises, international guests, music from movies, big entertainment – for children and adults. Tickets can be purchased at Lippupiste online store and Kuopio Music Centre Ticket Sales.

The autumn season begins with a free concert There And Back Again on Saturday 21st of August at 6 pm. at the Kuopio Music Centre Concert Hall. The KSO is coached by an improvisation specialist and British cellist Matthew Barley. The programme goes from Beethoven to Piazzolla and further to some unusual musical worlds of improvisation, non-classical and dissonance, and back to Beethoven. It will contain hauntingly beautiful works for cello and strings, music created by the orchestral members during the week that reflects the experiences of this last 18 months, and special arrangements made by members of the wind and brass sections. Duration approximately 1 hour, no interval.

The safety and hygiene instructions are considered carefully at the Kuopio Music Centre. To ensure the adequate safety distances, the number of seats sold to the Concert Hall has been limited. We recommend using a face mask at the events and when visiting the Music Centre. The cloak services are not in use, but the customers can take their coats inside the Concert hall. Our staff will help the audience with acting safely at the Music Centre.
